Protect Rural America Tributary of Moose Creek Above Landfill Site This photo was taken in early March 2006; the clear water of a Moose Creek tributary located above the landfill storm water mangement area. Notice the milky gray color in the middle of the stream ... this sediment is coming from the outlet wetlands of the landfill's stage sendiment control ponds. So much for "control".  Moose Creek at Rt. 294 & Gleasman Rd., Ava Photo taken March 2006. Once again, Moose Creek is showing signs of of excessive sediment coming from the landfill site. But according to the DEC, it's okay for OHSWA and Rifenberg to pollute Moose Creek. See DEC Consent Order on the ACAL News link.
